Archeo Etkinlik brings travellers and curious makers together with master craftspeople across Türkiye. Instead of watching in a museum, make it with your own hands.
It started in a small courtyard in Galata
The first Turkish coffee workshop we ran for guests in the courtyard of Archeo Hostel in Galata drew far more interest than we expected. People wanted to do something in a city, not just walk around it.
Perfume, ceramics, marbling and cooking workshops followed. Today we work with genuine masters in İstanbul as well as Antalya, Cappadocia and İzmir.
Our aim is simple: take traditional crafts out from behind the glass and put them within everyone's reach. After each workshop we share the photos and videos here — because the connection made that day matters as much as the object.
Four promises we keep in every workshop
Small groups
We cap groups at 8–16 people so everyone gets real one-to-one time with the instructor.
Master instructors
Most of the craftspeople we work with learned the trade in their family and have 15+ years behind them.
Local and sustainable
We source materials from local producers wherever we can and keep waste to a minimum.
Open to everyone
No workshop requires prior experience. We host in Turkish, English and Russian.
