We start by explaining why most supermarket bars are actually detergent-based, and how real soap behaves differently.
First you get to know the oils: olive oil for mildness, coconut oil for lather, shea butter for moisture, cocoa butter for hardness. You see what each one contributes and why none of them works well alone. We also cover the saponification reaction and the safety rules that go with it.
You then build your own recipe using the melt and pour method, choosing from natural colourants — indigo, clay, coffee grounds, dried lavender — and more than 20 scents. The instructor demonstrates pouring, layering and surface texturing step by step.
You leave with four finished bars, wrapped and ready. Your recipe is archived and you get a printed guide so you can repeat your favourite blend at home. We run both weekday and weekend sessions, and gift vouchers are available.
