Turkish coffee has been on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage list since 2013. In this workshop you experience the whole culture, from choosing the beans and brewing on hot sand to the secrets of the foam and the tradition of reading the cup.
First you taste beans from different regions and learn the right grind — as fine as powder. Then you brew your own richly foamed coffee using the technique of turning the cezve in the hot sand.
The workshop finishes with an enjoyable fortune-telling session: you learn the traditional meanings of the symbols in the cup and read each other's fortunes. Turkish delight and menengiç coffee are served alongside.
